The 2024 United States House of Representatives elections in Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to elect the eight U.S. representatives from the state of Minnesota, one from each of the state's eight congressional districts. The elections will coincide with the 2024 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate, and various state and local elections.
Background
The 2024 House elections in Minnesota will be the first held after the 2020 United States census, which resulted in Minnesota losing one of its eight congressional seats. The Minnesota Legislature will be responsible for redrawing the state's congressional districts to reflect the new population data. The new district lines will be used for the first time in the 2024 elections.
The 2024 elections will also be the first held after the passage of the For the People Act, which made a number of changes to the way federal elections are conducted. Among other things, the For the People Act expanded early voting and made it easier for people to register to vote.
