2024 United States House of Representatives Elections in Virginia

The 2024 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to elect the 11 members from the U.S. state of Virginia, one from each of the state's 11 congressional districts. The elections will coincide with the 2024 U.S. presidential election, as well as other elections to the House of Representatives, elections to the United States Senate and various state and local elections.
The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 28, 2024. The primary election was held on June 11, 2024, and the general election will be held on November 5, 2024.
Background
In the 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Virginia, the Democratic Party won 7 seats and the Republican Party won 4 seats. The results of the 2022 elections were a gain of one seat for the Democrats, who had held 6 seats in the previous Congress. The Republicans had held 5 seats in the previous Congress.
The 2024 elections will be the first held after the 2020 United States census, which resulted in Virginia losing one of its 11 congressional districts. The district that was eliminated was the 3rd congressional district, which had been held by Republican Robert Wittman since 2007.
