“Anyone can read the table”: Leipzig wants the first points

RB Leipzig meets FC Schalke 04 on matchday 2 of the Bundesliga.

The Saxons want to celebrate their first win of the season after the disappointing start against VfB Stuttgart.

After the disappointing 1-1 draw against VfB Stuttgart on matchday 1, RB Leipzig wants to celebrate their first win of the season on Saturday (6:30 p.m.) against FC Schalke 04.

The Leipzig team started the season with a draw, while the promoted team from Gelsenkirchen lost 3-1 to 1. FC Köln.

"We have to win the game," said Leipzig coach Domenico Tedesco before the game. "We have to show a different face than against Stuttgart."

The Saxons are the clear favorites against Schalke. Leipzig has won the past three games against the Royal Blues.

However, Schalke coach Frank Kramer warned against underestimating his team. "We are the underdog, but we want to annoy Leipzig," said Kramer.

Leipzig will probably have to do without defender Mohamed Simakan again. The Frenchman is struggling with a muscular problem.

Schalke, on the other hand, has to do without several players. Goalkeeper Martin Fraisl, defender Marcin Kaminski, midfielder Danny Latza and striker Sebastian Polter are all out.

Possible lineups:

**RB Leipzig:** Gulacsi - Klostermann, Orban, Halstenberg - Mukiele, Laimer, Kampl, Angelino - Nkunku, Silva, Werner **FC Schalke 04:** Schwolow - Brunner, Yoshida, van den Berg - Aydin, Krauß, Drexler, Ouwejan - Bülter, Terodde, Mohr
