BVB too strong for Meerbusch, Schalke fails, Gladbach strong
Borussia Dortmund continues its winning streak
Borussia Dortmund has also won its third test match of the preparation under coach Edin Terzic. After the 3:0 against Rheindorf Altach and the 2:1 against UD Almeria, the Black and Yellows prevailed 5:1 (1:0) at the fifth division club Meerbuscher SV. Marco Reus in particular impressed in the BVB dress. The captain gave the lead (33rd) and prepared the second goal for Donyell Malen (52nd).
Emre Can (63rd) and Karim Adeyemi (69th/80th) increased the lead further. For Meerbusch, Mergim Fejzullahu was able to score the goal (71st).
Gladbach shows commitment
Borussia Mönchengladbach did a good job in the third test match of the preparation. The team of coach Daniel Farke won 2:0 (0:0) at Rot-Weiss Essen from the third division. Lars Stindl (51st) and Alassane Plea (62nd) scored the goals for the Foals.
Schalke disappoints
FC Schalke 04, on the other hand, suffered a setback in the fourth test match of the preparation. The team of coach Frank Kramer lost 3:1 (2:1) at the regional league club SV Rödinghausen. Marius Bülter gave the guests the lead in the 15th minute, but Julian Wolff (31st/45th) turned the game in favor of the outsiders before the break.
In the second half, Bülter missed a penalty, and shortly afterwards, Sören Dieckmann (71st) scored the winning goal for Rödinghausen. This was Schalke's first defeat in the preparation.
