Polls have closed in Idaho, and election officials are now beginning to count the votes. Follow along for live results as they come in for Proposition 1, the presidential race, and the Idaho Legislature.
Proposition 1
Proposition 1 is a citizen-initiated constitutional amendment that would create a new property tax exemption for homeowners over the age of 65 or disabled veterans. The exemption would be capped at $100,000 of assessed home value.
Supporters of Proposition 1 say it would provide much-needed tax relief for Idaho's seniors and disabled veterans. Opponents argue that it would benefit wealthy homeowners at the expense of other taxpayers.
Presidential race
The presidential race is one of the most closely watched in Idaho history. Republican incumbent President Donald Trump is facing a challenge from Democratic challenger Joe Biden.
Trump won Idaho by a wide margin in 2016, but polls show that Biden is competitive in the state this year.
Idaho Legislature
All 105 seats in the Idaho Legislature are up for election this year. Republicans currently control both the House and Senate, but Democrats are hoping to make gains.
The outcome of the legislative races will have a significant impact on the state's budget, education system, and other policy areas.
Stay tuned for live election results as they come in.
