Roblyer was a 1959 graduate of Chittenango High School

Marcia J. (Hurlburt) Roblyer, 81, of Manlius, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was born in Chittenango on July 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Arnold) Hurlburt.

She was a 1959 graduate of Chittenango High School. Marcia retired from the Chittenango Post Office. She was a 20-year member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Fabius Historical Society.

Marcia had a passion for traveling. Most of her traveling companion trips were with her special friend Joyce Mirra. Marcia always looked forward to the next adventure. Some of the many adventures were hot air balloon rides, zip-lining, cruises, and visiting 49 states, and every Canadian province.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Tom) McGlynn of Manlius; two granddaughters, Amanda (Kevin) Coyne of Manlius and Jessica McGlynn of Brooklyn; two great-grandchildren, Madeline and Kieran; and several cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Iroquois Nursing Home, especially the B-wing for the wonderful care Marcia received. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association, PO Box 535, Canastota, NY 13032.

Funeral services will be private.
