More Than 6,000 People Voted Early on the Southern Kenai Peninsula

Early Voting Concludes on Friday

Voters can still cast ballots in-person on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th

Early voting for the 2022 general election concluded on Friday, October 28th, with more than 6,000 people casting ballots early on the southern Kenai Peninsula. According to the Kenai Peninsula Borough Clerk's Office, 6,053 early ballots were cast in the borough, representing 43% of registered voters.

Early voting was available at four locations in the borough: the Homer Public Library, the Kenai Public Library, the Soldotna Public Library, and the Ninilchik Senior Center. Voters could also cast early ballots by mail.

Voters who did not vote early can still cast ballots in-person on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Homer: Homer Public Library, 542 E. Pioneer Avenue

Kenai: Kenai Public Library, 115 Main Street

Soldotna: Soldotna Public Library, 345 East Park Avenue

Ninilchik: Ninilchik Senior Center, 246 Seldovia Road

Voters must bring a valid photo ID to the polls.
