PSV Eindhoven reach the Champions League group stage
PSV Eindhoven has reached the group stage of the Champions League after beating Rangers 3-2 on aggregate in the play-off round.
The Dutch side won the first leg 2-1 in Eindhoven and held on for a 1-1 draw in the second leg at Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow on Wednesday.
PSV will now be in the draw for the group stage, which will take place on Thursday.
It is the first time that PSV have reached the group stage of the Champions League since 2018.
They will be hoping to make a better impression in this season's competition than they did in 2018, when they finished bottom of their group.
PSV are one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands, having won 24 Eredivisie titles and 9 KNVB Cups.
They have also won the European Cup once, in 1988.
PSV's success in Europe has been built on their attacking football and their ability to produce talented players.
Some of the most famous players to have played for PSV include Ruud van Nistelrooy, Arjen Robben and Memphis Depay.
PSV's current squad includes a number of exciting young players, such as Cody Gakpo and Noni Madueke.
The club will be hoping that these players can help them achieve success in this season's Champions League.
