Sporting's Ruben Amorim has demanded the signing of a PSV star

According to reports in Portugal this week, Sporting Lisbon boss Ruben Amorim wants to make a January move for PSV Eindhoven winger, Geovany Quenda. Quenda, 19, has been in excellent form this season for the Dutch side, scoring seven goals and grabbing five assists in 16 games. His impressive performances have attracted the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs, including Manchester United and Manchester City. Amorim is thought to be desperate to strengthen his team in January, as they look to challenge FC Porto for the Primeira Liga title. Quenda would certainly fit the bill, with his pace, skill and goalscoring ability making him a valuable addition to any team. Any deal for Quenda is likely to be expensive, with PSV reportedly valuing the player at around €30 million. However, United and City are both thought to be willing to pay big money for the right player and could well battle it out for his signature in the January transfer window.

Quenda is a highly-rated young talent

Quenda is one of the most highly-rated young players in Europe and has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time. He is a quick, skilful winger who is comfortable playing on either flank. He is also a good finisher and has an eye for goal. Quenda made his debut for PSV in 2021 and quickly established himself as a regular in the first team. He has scored 14 goals in 36 appearances for the Dutch club and has also represented the Netherlands at youth level. Quenda is a player with huge potential and it is no surprise that he is attracting the attention of top clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City. If he continues to develop at his current rate, he could become one of the best players in the world.
