Early Look at Potential Top Picks
The NFL Network has released its first mock draft for the 2024 NFL Draft, providing an early glimpse at the potential top picks. The draft is still several months away, but the mock draft offers a look at the top prospects and how they might be selected.
Quarterbacks Take Center Stage
The top of the mock draft is dominated by quarterbacks, with four of the first five picks being signal-callers. Caleb Williams of USC is projected to go first overall to the Indianapolis Colts, followed by Drake Maye of North Carolina to the Houston Texans and Arch Manning of Texas to the Carolina Panthers.
Williams is considered the top quarterback prospect in the country, while Maye and Manning are both highly touted recruits who could make an immediate impact in the NFL.
Edge Rushers and Offensive Tackles Round Out Top Five
Joining the quarterbacks in the top five are two pass rushers and two offensive tackles. Adetomiwa Adebawore of Northwestern is projected to go fourth overall to the Denver Broncos, while Shemar Stewart of Texas is projected to go fifth overall to the Tennessee Titans.
Paris Johnson Jr. of Ohio State and Evan Hull of Northwestern are the two offensive tackles projected to go in the top five, with Johnson going sixth overall to the Las Vegas Raiders and Hull going seventh overall to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
